Fred received his award during lunch at the Drive Tour he planned to Arivaca, Arizona & the Amado Longhorn Steakhouse, May 30, 2026. About 23 of our Sonora Chapter members showed for the Drive Tour & lined up at our lunchtime destination before proceeding onto to Arivaca. The two-lane highway to this small town is in great shape and it’s a great route to pilot our ultimate driving machines. After arriving, we got out and stretched our legs, viewed the local ‘farmers’ market’ and remarked how most of us had never been to Arivaca before. The same two-lane highway provided a view of ‘Elephant Head Peak’ on the way back to our lunchtime steakhouse destination. Fred Knotek coordinated all the details, and it was a perfect time/place to recognize him for the Outstanding Volunteer that he is!
