The Sonora Chapter Board was invited to the New Car Owners Clinic at BMW of Tucson on Saturday March 24th, 2018. This marks the beginning of a new chapter in the BMWCCA Sonora’s relationship with the local Tucson BMW dealership.

We very much appreciated to opportunity to meet the customers who attended and tell some of our story. We thank the management and staff for their gracious hospitality. Each Board member had a excellent time and we look forward to future events with BMW of Tucson.  In addition, BMW Tucson provided memberships to two new BMW owners who were at the event.

Our host, Tracy Moorman, assembled a large team of dealer employees along with new cars, tech displays, food, and prizes for the attendees.

It was great to talk tech with some of the BMW service team, and they spent a good amount of time discussing the esoteric points on a blown N63 engine that had blown a rod, worn tires, and broken wheels.

Tracy kept his promise during his speech and asked our opinions of the brand new X2 they had in the bay for us. It was nice to be able to voice those viewpoints directly to the BMW folks, as the opportunities to provide such feedback are quite rare.

It was clear to us that the new management was very appreciative of the BMWCCA club’s presence, and there are renewed hopes that a future partnership will be a symbiotic endeavor for both organizations.
