Start point is the parking lot at the Gates Pass Trailhead, 6400 W Gates Pass Rd (map). Meet at 8:30 AM and leave not later than 9:00AM.

We will take a scenic drive west through the Tucson Mountains on our way to Kitt Peak with diversions along the way.  We plan to drive through the Saguaro National Monument West on our way to Sandario Rd., then to Ajo Hwy, and arrive at Kitt Peak (https://kpno.noirlab.edu/) about 10:30 AM. We will take a brief stretch before heading back towards Three Points and east to Ryan Airfield and lunch at Richie’s Cafe in Ryan Airfield, 9700 W Ajo Hwy (map) before noon.

We are leaving early but expect desert temperatures well into the mid 90’s or higher by the end of May, so bring water.  Be sure to bring your fully charged phone/camera for this drive!
