February 25 – Meet at 1 PM, South East corner of Lowe’s Parking Lot, 4075 W Ina Rd, West of Thornydale
Driver’s meeting – 1:15 PM
Rally End – 3:30 to 4:00 pm at Guadalajara Grill, 1220 E. Prince Rd., Followed by Trophies, Food/Drink.
What is it?
It’s a driving event / competition based on following a printed list of route instructions to stay on the correct course while maintaining exact average speeds. The route is all public roads and all instructed speeds are at or below the posted speed limit. Each car has a driver and a navigator who reads the instructions. No other passengers are allowed. Checkpoints along the route will record each car’s time of arrival. The car that follows the course precisely and maintains the speeds most accurately will be closest to the calculated perfect times and will be the winner! Trophies will be awarded.
Will it be fun?
Of course it will! The roads will be fun to drive and the instructions will be very easy to follow. The actual driving time will be less than 2 hours. We’ll end at the Guadalajara Grill to compare notes, present trophies, and socialize.
