Sonoita/Elgin Wine Tasting

Itinerary:
-10:00am – 10:30am: Arrive at Triple T Truck Stop
-10:30 am: Depart from Triple T Truck Stop
-10:30 am – 12:00 pm: leave as a group towards Elgin, enjoying the beautiful scenery along the way(I-10E to 83A)
-12:00 pm – 12:30 pm: Arrive at Copper Brothel Brewery in Elgin
-2:00pm – 2:30pm head to Flying Leap Vineyard to enjoy views and some wine/spirit tasting.

**Members are welcome to leave at anytime and can enjoy multiple routes back( 83A, Patagonia, Nogales, Arivaca, etc..)

Please note that the driving time between Tucson and Elgin is approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, so plan accordingly.

Flying Leap is a vertically integrated American wine and spirits producer headquartered in Tucson, Arizona. We have wine production facilities located in Elgin, Arizona and collaborate with the Hoffmann & Girotti families to produce wine in Mendoza, Argentina. We also operate a world-class distillery co-located adjacent to the winery in Arizona. The company’s wines and spirits are cellared in Elgin and Mendoza. Flying Leap today comprises a team of 36 people who operate as a unified team with a determined and passionate goal to provide customers with the finest in ultra-premium, craft-made wines and distilled spirits. We grow our winegrapes in southeastern and southern Arizona, as well as in the shadows of the Andes mountains, and in 2023 for the first time we will be bringing contracted fruit out of the famous Les Collines vineyard in Walla Walla, Washington.

Copper Brothel

In July 2014, our family discussed opening a brewery in Southern Arizona’s wine country over a jar of moonshine and some inebriated banter. We talked about the Copper State’s history, the large unspoken contribution women played in building the Wild West, and how we can pay homage to the world’s oldest profession through craft beer and food.
